Sicily & the Aeolian Islands

The journey.

Sicily is Italy with the volume up: bigger flavours, older stones, a sea that means it. We split the journey between the baroque south-east and the smoking Aeolian islands offshore.

The island Ortigia at dusk, Noto's honey-coloured streets, a market breakfast that ruins you for others, and Etna — hiked at the cool of morning, tasted in the wines of its slopes that evening.

The Aeolians A private boat to Salina and Panarea, a swim in water the temperature of a bath, and Stromboli after dark, throwing sparks against the sky like the earth clearing its throat.

Rugged, romantic, and unrepeatable — Sicily doesn't do restraint, and neither should you here.
